How We Made Wine Discovery Fun for a New Generation

The Challenge
Wine Match was a new voice app designed to connect wineries directly with consumers. But while the tech was innovative, the wine industry faced a bigger challenge: younger audiences often saw wine as intimidating, old-fashioned, and “not for them.”
Our job was to create a brand that made wine feel approachable, playful, and worth exploring, while also helping the platform attract wineries to join the beta launch. Therefore, a brand that could engage two different audiences, consumers and wineries.

What We Did
We built a fresh, friendly brand identity to break away from the industry’s traditional tone. The illustrations, bold colours, and language were simple, inviting, and fun.
This identity became the foundation for:
Email marketing campaigns that clearly explained the platform’s benefits to wineries and encouraged them to join the beta test
A social media strategy that introduced consumers to a new, voice-led way of discovering wine — designed to feel modern, easy, and non-intimidating
A dual-audience website that spoke directly to both wineries and consumers, with clear, engaging messaging

The Impact
The approachable branding broke down the intimidation barrier for younger audiences, helping position Wine Match as a modern, engaging way to explore wine.
Email marketing successfully brought wineries into the beta launch, while social media built excitement for the app as an easy, voice-first experience.
Together, the brand, email, and social strategy opened the door for both consumers and wineries to connect in a more vibrant, accessible way.
